Yann Beaullan-Thong, Founder/EVP

Yann has 20 years of experience in developing new products, business plans, and strategy. Prior to Vindicet, he served as VP of eBusiness Development & New Ventures at Aetna, where he was responsible for developing innovative joint offerings with companies including WebMD, J&J, Pfizer, MasterCard and Discovery Health.

A serial entrepreneur, Yann has extensive experience with startups. As a managing partner for Colotek, a building local exchange carrier, he developed a disaster recovery center business that included both Qwest and AOL as clients. As VP of Business Development for Bcrossing, he developed the business model for a multilingual translation software platform system.

Yann holds a BA in International Corporate Finance from City University of New York, Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business; a BA in International Marketing from Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Paris; and an MS in International Logistics from the Superior School of Transportation, Paris. Additionally he attended Medical School at La Salle Petriere Paris VI. Beaullan-Thong is also certified as an IBM Framework Architect for e-business, in Microsoft Certified Product NT4 server, in Sun Workgroup & Enterprise Solution Sales, and in 3-Com Network Solutions.

Joseph Padula, M.D., CMO

As the former Medical Director of Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital, LTACH and Medical Director of Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, Joe brings practical insights to managing large populations of very sick patients.

Other experience: United States Navy, LCDR. Regimental Surgeon, First Marine Division. Acting Division Surgeon, Operation Bell Buster (position normally held by Rear Admiral).

1967 AB, Princeton University, Princeton. Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, N.Y., N.Y. MBA. University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Concentration in Medical Management) – combined program with the American College of Physician Executives. Completion 2013 Certificate in Information Technology, American College of Physician Executives.

Susan Glasser, M.B.A., P.T., Clinical Director for the Vindicet Hospital Data System, Principle - Benchmark Consulting

Susan brings extensive experience in consulting and hospital leadership working with national organizations to develop and manage benchmarking systems and share experience and best practices. She assists healthcare clients throughout the continuum to develop strategic plans, identify market opportunities, develop new services, assess performance and establish innovative new approaches. She brings extensive experience in post-acute management spanning long term care and rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation, home health, skilled nursing and long term care.

Prior to co-founding Benchmark in 2004, Susan served as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Operations for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, a member of Partners HealthCare System, and was responsible for the development and management of a network of inpatient and outpatient sites throughout New England owned or managed by Spaulding.

Susan is recognized for her innovation in problem solving, establishing a learning environment and fostering a strong team approach. She holds an M.B.A. in HealthCare Management from Boston University and a B.S. in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University.

Chris Shafer, VP Product Development

Chris brings an extensive background in interactive design and usability for both clinical and consumer applications. Chris began his career developing performance-support reference tools as part of Aetna's Learning Technologies group. While there he helped develop a series of clinical reference tools for medical claims processors to use in interpreting medical records.

When the Internet dot.com boom came Chris moved to the world of Interactive Agencies, where his experience includes a leadership role at Modem Media (now Publicis Modem), a pioneer in the field of online marketing. While at Modem Chris helped define the Information Architecture and Interaction Design practice; working on flagship offerings from some of the world's most recognizable brands including GM's Online Owner's Center, IBM.com and AOL's Consumer Community and Health portals.

Prior to joining Vindicet, Chris returned to Aetna as part of their consumer-facing Internet governance team; where he helped define a strategic continuum of care strategy for Aetna's consumer facing portal.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Chris has over 20 years experience in Information Architecture, User Interface, and Instructional Design.

Ilene Kagan, Director of Customer Service

Ilene brings experience managing customer service programs for retail and manufacturing. Past clients include Whole Foods Market and the Home Depot. At Vindicet she is responsible for all customer relations and end-user training, as well as managing our internal "voice of the customer" program. Ilene is a graduate of the North Texas State University Fine Arts program.
