Yann Beaullan-Thong CEO & Founder
Yann has 20 years of experience in developing new products, business plans, and strategy. Prior to Vindicet, he served as VP of eBusiness Development & New Ventures at Aetna, where he was responsible for developing innovative joint offerings with companies including WebMD, J&J, Pfizer, MasterCard and Discovery Health.
A serial entrepreneur, Yann has extensive experience with startups. As a managing partner for Colotek, a building local exchange carrier, he developed a disaster recovery center business that included both Qwest and AOL as clients. As VP of Business Development for Bcrossing, he developed the business model for a multilingual translation software platform system.
Yann holds a BA in International Corporate Finance from City University of New York, Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business; a BA in International Marketing from Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Paris; and an MS in International Logistics from the Superior School of Transportation, Paris. Additionally he attended Medical School at La Salle Petriere Paris VI. Beaullan-Thong is also certified as an IBM Framework Architect for e-business, in Microsoft Certified Product NT4 server, in Sun Workgroup & Enterprise Solution Sales, and in 3-Com Network Solutions.
Joseph Castignoli CFO
Joe has over 25 years of experience in Corporate Accounting and Financial Management Consulting. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Project Manager. Joe has provided accounting and consulting services to clients in various industries, including: Insurance, Banking and Construction. He has experience working with both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies and has been involved in the integration of mergers and acquisitions; bringing order and structure to disorganized accounting departments; and training and developing accounting staff to perform above their basic functions. Prior to joining Vindicet, Joe was the CFO for Glen Gate Construction, a company with an operating budget of 25 million dollars. Prior to this he provided accounting consulting services through Kforce, serving as interim Controller, Accounting Manager and Senior Financial Analyst for various companies working with the accounting staff to help streamline accounting processes and coordinate the month end close process.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with an MBA in finance and accounting.
Stephen Marcovich VP and General Counsel
Steve has extensive domestic and international experience as a corporate lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial finance, venture capital fund formation and investment, commercial contracting and technology development, protection and commercialization in several industry sectors including the biotechnology, healthcare and computer software and services industries. Steve has practiced law as an associate and a partner with an international law firm and large regional law firms for over twenty five years. Prior to becoming a lawyer, for eight years he held positions of increasing responsibility in marketing, project management and business planning with several technology companies.
In addition to Steve’s general experience as a corporate lawyer, he has significant experience in the formation, financing and operation of start up and early stage companies, the growth of companies through domestic and foreign acquisition programs and technology funding, research, development and licensing transactions. Steve routinely works with boards of directors, senior company management, investors and financial advisors. He is also an adjunct professor of law at the Quinnipiac University School of Law where he teaches a course on mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations.
Steve graduated from Rutgers College with “High Distinction” where he was a Henry Rutgers Scholar. Subsequently, he obtained an MBA in Business Management from the University of Bridgeport and his law degree from the Quinnipiac University School of Law as a published Associate Editor of the Law Review and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Chris Shafer VP Product Development
Chris brings an extensive background in online user experience and interactive design. His agency experience includes a leadership role at Modem Media (now Publicis Modem), one of the industry's most respected interactive agencies and a pioneer in the field of online marketing. While at Modem Shafer helped define the Information Architecture and Interaction Design practice; working on flagship offerings from some of the world's most recognizable brands including GM's Online Owner's Center, IBM.com and AOL's Consumer Community and Health portals. Prior to joining Vindicet, Chris worked at Aetna where he helped define a strategic continuum of care strategy for engagements related to a joint Medicare Part D marketing venture with WebMD (over 800,000 new Medicare part Part D members enrolled).
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Chris has over 20 years experience in Information Architecture, User Interface, and Instructional Design.
